The New Spirituality (sometimes called “Do-It-Yourself Spiritualities”), and Paganism represents some of the fastest growing and largest expressions of “alternative” or emerging spiritualities in the Western world. There are a number of books and presentations available from Christian ministries that compare and contrast the beliefs of these spiritualities with traditional Christianity, and while many of these materials promote an “expose and oppose” doctrinal perspective, they do not provide suggestions on missional engagement.
The staff of the Western Institute for Intercultural Studies can present practical seminars for your church group that not only help you understand the beliefs and practices of these emerging spiritualities, but also provide suggestions regarding creative missions approaches that can be implemented by individuals, as well as the local church in missions ministry.
This presentation can be presented in a variety of formats to meet the needs of your church group.
Hosting a Seminar on New Spirituality or Paganism
The fee for this one-day training of three hours is $1000 which includes a copy of the presentation handout. In addition, interested churches need to cover our travel expenses.
